Quick Updates, Skincare Routine and Beautezine!

Hey Guys!

Sorry no updates and no photos! I am having camera troubles. (I still have to get pics up for my Bobbi Brown corrector review!)  I am also dealing with Hurricane Irene!(Just Kidding! :) )

I am working more towards to updating once a week or even more often! But, I am starting school so this may be difficult, so I'll to try to update as much as possible on the weekends.

Anyway, let's get on the main update of today's post: My Skincare Routine!
I have oily, acne-prone,sensitive skin by the way.

Disclaimer: This is what works for me. It might not work for you so don't try any of these products without considering your skin type. These blend of products don't break me out but, proceed with caution! :P
(This is a completely drugstore skincare routine, because I find that products at the drugstore work just as well as high-end products, in my opinon.)

In the Wee Hours of the Morning:

Wash face with Loreal's Go 360 Clean Deep Cream Cleanser.
Moisturize with Clean and Clear Dual Action moisturizer.
Spot treat with Neutrogena's On-the-Spot spot treatment.
(By the way for those of you in Hurricane Irene's storm path,
it has started to pour...hard! :( )

After Coming Back from School:
Remove makeup with Kirkland Facial Towelettes.
Moisturize again with Clean and Clear moisturizer.

Night:
Wash face with Loreal cleanser.
Massage moisturizer into face in circles to promote blood circulation.
In dry spots, moisturize with Aveeno Skin Relief cream.(No pic, sorry)

Masks: (Have no pics for all of these too.)

Queen Helene Mint Juelp Mask
Himalaya Herbals Neem Face Pack

A homemade one I make myself with:
Honey
Yogurt
Banana
Salt

Pics are coming soon, I promise!!!!!!!!

Last quick thing, as you all know, I love beauty on Youtube. One of my favorite channels is PicturesqueMakeup. She has stopped on youtube :(, but she made a really cool online magazine website. Go check it out!!

Beauty Tip of the Day #1:Undertones

Finding out your undertones can help you when choosing lipstick, foundation, powder, concealer, eyeshadow and much more.

Three ways to find out:

1. Do you look better in cream,or white?

If you look better in:
White- You have cool undertones.
Cream-You have warm undertones.
Both- You have neutral undertones

2. Do you look good in gold or silver jewelery?

If you look better in:
Silver- You have cool undertones.
Gold-  You have warm undertones.
Both- You have neutral undertones.

3. Are the veins in your wrist more bluish or greenish?

If they are:
More Bluish- You have cool undertones.
More Greenish- You have warm undertones.
A little bit of both- You have neutral undertones.

I'm sure there are more ways to determine your undertone, these are just a few.

Yours Truly,
Lasya

Review: Bobbi Brown Corrector in Dark Peach

Disclaimer: I wasn't sent this product to review, nor was I paid to review it. This was bought with my own money. I am also not endorsing any companies. This is my own opinion.

(Scroll down to see a more condensed review)

First review, I am so excited! Okay, first things first. You can purchase this product at Sephora stores, sephora.com,bobbibrown.com, and anywhere else Bobbi Brown cosmetics are sold. The price is 22.00 U.S. dollars and this product contains .050oz/1.4g.

Claim to Fame: Quote from bobbibrown.com-A wakeup call for tired eyes. Corrector is pink- or peach-based to neutralize under-eye darkness and is designed to be used before Creamy Concealer. New and improved formula is long-wearing and brightens dark circles with quick, just-right coverage that’s easy to blend and won’t crease. And since great makeup starts with healthy skin, Corrector is infused with skin conditioners to protect the delicate under-eye area. Featured in Lucky Magazine (July 2011).(no copyright intended)

Packaging: Like all Bobbi Brown products, this is packaged in sleek black packaging with white capital letters on the front (spelling Bobbi Brown, of course). It's easy to open, and has a convenient mirror on the underside of the top which makes it easy to throw this in your purse and touch up.

Let me clear something up, this isn't a concealer. This is a color corrector, color correctors work using basic color theory. This product is designed to neutralize blue and purple undertones. If you are confused as to how this happens take a look at the color wheel, on the opposite side of purple is yellow and on the opposite side of blue is orange.

The colors opposite one another neutralize each other. That is how the correctors work. They are peach and pink toned(both of which are in the same color family as yellow and orange) to neutralize blue and purple.

This concealer is in between a gel and creamier consistency. That's how this concealer can sometimes crease and cake a bit but, if set with a powder this concealer doesn't move. I have oily skin and to find a somewhat creamy concealer that doesn't melt off my face is hard! But, I think I have discovered my HG concealer!!! (Even though this really isn't a concealer! :P)

My routine with this concealer:
1.Start with a clean, moisturized face.

2.Heavily moisturize the under eye area with a thick cream(I use Aveeno's Skin Relief cream).

3.Apply very little of Bobbi Brown Corrector using your fingers.(I mean like one dab in the pot is enough for one eye.)

4. If I have really bad dark circles that day, I will layer the concealer.(Meaning I will build up coverage by applying in layers.)

5. Set using loose powder.(I use Revlon Colorstay Aqua.)

(condensed version)

Pros
Really creamy
Covers well
Somewhat large color selection
Pigmented
Very moisturizing
Only need a little for great results
Nice Packaging(Scroll up for greater detail)

Cons

Not very long lasting

If you use too much it will crease
Very little comes in container
